The pageant is a fund-raiser designed to elevate the self-esteem, independence and personal empowerment of full-figured women.

Women Empowerment.

In an effort to reverse the adverse effects of social media one one’s self-esteem and confidence, the full-figured women’s pageant was created. Miss Curves with Confidence was established from a desire to assist women with false perceptions about themselves and to teach them the importance of self-esteem, self-love and confidence.

During the years of 2017 and 2018, our Emergency Impact Funding successfully provided school supplies and other necessities to eighty-five children from pageant proceeds. The Miss Curves with Confidence pageant show became an annual event to raise much needed funds in order to assist less fortunate children with school supplies.

In 2019, the pageant’s subsequent donor and sponsorship ceremony was so spectacular that funding for the foundation increased significantly. The foundation was able to help neighbouring communities of Anse La Raye, Canaries, Soufriere, Vieux Fort, Castries and Choiseul with some much needed relief for fifty students and their families. The foundation recorded a total number of one hundred and thirty assisted children in 2019.

During the economic fall-out of COVID-19 in 2020, the Miss Curves With Confidence event was cancelled due to community closure, social distancing, other world-wide health concerns and government protocols. In order to raise funds in 2020, The Alexander Family Foundation created a virtual, live telethon campaign.
