Good deeds day is an annual, global celebration that encourages positivity through acts of kindness by groups, organizations and individuals. This year, it was celebrated on Sunday April 3rd. The Alexander Family Foundation and Events (AFFE) collaborated with Do-Nation Foundation marked the celebration by bringing cheer to twelve specially selected youth in the Soufriere/Fond St Jacques region.

The day commenced with spiritual emersion, at a church service led by Fr Albert of the Soufriere Roman Catholic Church. During the customary presentation of gifts at the mass, the AFFE presented Fr Albert with school supplies for the children of the parish. Toys were also distributed to all the children present at the mass.

After the service the selected children were treated to a hike and picnic at Tete Paul Nature Trail. At the summit, the children enjoyed a jubilant Easter-egg hunt complete with all the merriment of face painting.

AFFE is pleased with the outcome of the event and plans to pin the activity to its annual calendar for many years to come.
